Srikalaranga, is a small dance school in Alwarpet that believes in integrating performing arts as a vital element of holistic development. Here, dance is a means to an end, with the end being a state of mind that is spiritually awakened. In an age where the arts are pursued like science - with great rigor, discipline and intimidating perfection, Srikalaranga offers a space where the arts remain a joyous exploration devoid of competition and fear. Students are gently guided into the art form, timeless and contemporary themes are explored, original and collaborative works are presented.
Bharatanatyam is not just a dance form for Dr. Srithika Kasturirangan; it's a lifelong passion and one of her greatest joys. Srithika was just five years old when she began learning Bharatanatyam under Guru Dr. Ambika Kameshwar, whose mentorship has been instrumental in shaping her life and dance journey.
